Which Monster Character Are You?
Question 1 of 10
It is your first morning in a new city. What do you do?
About the Monster Character Test
The Which Monster Character Are You test is a free, 10-question personality quiz that matches your answers to one of Monster's most iconic characters — from Kenzo Tenma, Nina Fortner, Heinrich Lunge, Wolfgang Grimmer, to Johan Liebert. Rather than testing trivia, it reads your instincts, values, and the choices you make under pressure.
Every answer quietly adds points toward different Monster characters. When you reach the final question, the quiz tallies those points and reveals your closest personality match, plus a short breakdown of the traits that define you. It takes two to three minutes, needs no signup, and you can retake it any time to see how different answers steer you toward a new character.
This Monster test has no right or wrong answers. If you would rather test what you know about the series, the Monster trivia quiz is built for that.

What this quiz asks you
None of the 10 questions are about Monster trivia — you do not need to have finished the series, or even started it, to get a meaningful result. They are about how you behave: what you do under pressure, what you want, and what you would sacrifice to get it. Here are the first three, exactly as they appear:
1. It is your first morning in a new city. What do you do?
- — Ask the people I meet how they are doing, and actually listen to the answer.
- — Find the library first, then a café where I can watch the world go by.
- — Study the map until I know every street by heart.
- — Wander round the market, try the local food and chat to the stallholders.
2. A friend cancels your plans at the last minute. How do you react?
- — No problem. I just hope everything is all right with them.
- — A little disappointed, but I use the evening to catch up on my studies.
- — I smile, tell them it is fine, and go for a long walk on my own.
- — I had already guessed they would, so I made other plans.
3. How do you prepare for an important exam?
- — Study late into the night, every night, until I am sure.
- — Make a careful timetable and stick to it.
- — Go over every detail until I could recite it in my sleep.
- — Read the material once. That is usually enough.
How the scoring actually works
Every option carries a weighting toward one or more of the 5 possible results, and the weights are not equal. A strongly characteristic answer moves you three points toward a character; a partial match moves you one. That is why two people who answer similarly can still land on different characters — it is the pattern across all 10 answers that decides it, not any single question.
Because the scoring is deterministic, the same answers always produce the same character. If you retake this quiz and get someone else, it is because you genuinely answered differently, not because there is randomness in it. Several of the questions have no obviously “best” option on purpose — those are the ones doing the real separating.
No personality quiz is a psychological instrument and this one does not pretend to be. What it does do is score consistently against character profiles written from how these characters actually behave across the series, rather than from a one-line stereotype.
Meet the Monster Characters You Can Match With
Every result is a distinct personality type. Here's who you could be matched with and what each character says about you.
Kenzo Tenma
You believe that every life is worth exactly the same, and you will stand by that even when it costs you everything. Kind, modest and quietly stubborn, you put other people first and keep going long after anyone else would have given up.
Nina Fortner
Bright, warm and hard-working, you throw yourself into your studies and your friendships with the same energy. You stand up for what is right, you are braver than you look, and in the end you would rather forgive than hold on to hate.
Heinrich Lunge
Precise, tireless and very hard to fool, you never let go of a problem until it is solved, and you never forget a detail. Your work can crowd out everything else, but you are honest enough to admit it when you have got something wrong.
Wolfgang Grimmer
Friendly, polite and nearly always smiling, you are wonderful with children and quick to help a stranger in trouble. You find it hard to show what you really feel, but your loyalty runs deep, and there is a surprising strength in you when it counts.
Johan Liebert
Charming, composed and quietly brilliant, you can win people over within minutes and always seem to know what they want to hear. You keep your real thoughts to yourself, and even the people closest to you find you a mystery.
