Mini games FAQ

Are these mini games free?

Yes. Lantern Blade and Ninja Run 3D are free to play in your browser, with no download, no app, no account and nothing to buy.

Can I play them on my phone?

Yes. Both run in phone and tablet browsers and draw their own touch controls: a stick and buttons in Lantern Blade (best in landscape, with the full-screen button), swipes and taps in Ninja Run 3D.

How is my progress saved?

In your browser, on your device. Lantern Blade keeps the demon gates you have cleansed, the spirit orbs you have found and your best time; Ninja Run 3D keeps your stars, best scores and best endless run. Clearing your browser's site data resets them.

Are these anime games?

They are original games made for AnimeQuiz, set in old Japan with demons from Japanese folklore, and they are not based on or affiliated with any anime. Ninja Run 3D adds a bonus anime trivia question between levels: answer it correctly for an extra heart.

What if a game will not start?

Both draw their 3D graphics with WebGL (Lantern Blade needs WebGL 2), which every recent browser supports. Update your browser, try Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, or turn on hardware acceleration in its settings.
