About Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen, created by Gege Akutami, follows Yuji Itadori, a good-natured high schooler with monstrous physical strength who swallows a cursed object — a rotting finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the undisputed 'King of Curses.' Rather than dying or losing himself, Yuji becomes Sukuna's living vessel, and Tokyo Jujutsu High takes him in under a grim condition: he'll be executed once he has consumed all twenty of Sukuna's fingers. Trained by the impossibly powerful Satoru Gojo, Yuji joins fellow first-years Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki to exorcise the cursed spirits born from human negativity.
What sets Jujutsu Kaisen apart is its ruthless, tactical approach to combat — every sorcerer wields a unique 'Cursed Technique' governed by rules, tolls, and binding vows, making fights feel like deadly chess matches rather than raw power contests. The story escalates through the Shibuya Incident, a citywide catastrophe that permanently changes the cast, and into the Culling Game. Beneath the flashy battles sits a bleaker theme: whether it's possible to give people a 'proper death' in a world that constantly manufactures curses. MAPPA's animation helped make it one of the defining anime of the 2020s.
What the Jujutsu Kaisen Quiz Tests
The Jujutsu Kaisen quiz drills into cursed techniques and their exact rules — Gojo's Limitless and Infinity, Sukuna's Cleave and Dismantle, Megumi's Ten Shadows, and the mechanics of Domain Expansions and Binding Vows. Easy questions cover the main trio and Gojo; harder ones test grade rankings, the special-grade curses, the Shibuya Incident timeline, and quote attribution. If you can explain why 'Throughout Heaven and Earth, I Alone Am the Honored One' matters, you'll do well.
Key Characters
Satoru Gojo — the strongest sorcerer alive and the cast's charismatic anchor — looms over everything, but the emotional core belongs to Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara. Antagonists like Sukuna, the shape-shifting Mahito, and the disillusioned Suguru Geto give the series its philosophical weight, each questioning who deserves to live. Try the 'Which Jujutsu Kaisen Character Are You?' quiz to see whether you're a Gojo, an Itadori, or something more cursed.

Jujutsu Kaisen Fun Facts
- Sukuna's name references Sukunabikona, a tiny deity from Japanese mythology — ironic for a being called the King of Curses.
- Gojo's Six Eyes and Limitless combination is said to appear together only once every few hundred years, which is why he's a once-in-a-generation sorcerer.
- Gege Akutami has cited Bleach, Naruto, and Hunter x Hunter as major influences on Jujutsu Kaisen's structure and fights.
- Cursed energy is generated by human negative emotions, meaning crowded, stressful places like Tokyo are the most dangerous.
- The prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu and was originally published before the main series began.
How players actually score on the Jujutsu Kaisen quiz
From 1,409 recorded attempts at this quiz, part of 14,110 sessions across the site. Updated periodically from live gameplay — these are our own figures and are not published anywhere else.
The Jujutsu Kaisen quiz is one of the harder ones we run. 4.9% of 1,409 attempts reach the end, below our 9.9% average — so if you stall in the later levels, you are in the majority.
The average score is 7,556 but the median is only 2,676 — a wide gap, which means a small group of very strong runs is pulling the average up while most attempts end early. Judge yourself against the median, not the mean.
Ranked by completion rate, Jujutsu Kaisen is the 8th hardest of the 26 quizzes with enough recorded plays to rank. Players get an average of 3.5 levels in before running out of lives, and the longest correct-answer streak anyone has managed on it is 50.

Jujutsu Kaisen Quiz — Frequently Asked Questions
What order should I watch Jujutsu Kaisen in?
Watch Season 1 (24 episodes) first, then the prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, then Season 2 (the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident arcs). While JJK 0 is chronologically a prequel, most fans recommend watching Season 1 first so its reveals land with full impact.
How many episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen are there?
There are 47 television episodes across two seasons, plus the feature film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Season 1 has 24 episodes and Season 2 has 23, the latter adapting the manga's brutal Shibuya Incident arc.
Is Gojo really the strongest character?
For most of the series, yes — Satoru Gojo's combination of the Limitless technique and the Six Eyes makes him functionally unbeatable in normal circumstances. The manga later challenges this directly, but going by the anime so far, Gojo sits at the very top alongside Sukuna.
Does Jujutsu Kaisen have filler?
Almost none. Unlike many long-running shōnen, JJK's anime adapts the manga tightly with virtually no filler, so you can watch it straight through. The only 'extra' is JJK 0, which is canon prequel material rather than filler.
What is a Domain Expansion?
A Domain Expansion is a sorcerer's ultimate technique — it manifests their innate cursed technique as an enclosed space where their attacks are guaranteed to hit. Mastering one is rare and physically taxing, which is why moments like Gojo's 'Unlimited Void' or Sukuna's 'Malevolent Shrine' are such turning points.
