Naruto Quiz

Follow Naruto Uzumaki on his journey to become the greatest Hokage and protect his village.

About Naruto

Naruto is Masashi Kishimoto's landmark shōnen series about Naruto Uzumaki, a loud, orange-clad orphan who carries the Nine-Tailed Fox, Kurama, sealed inside him. Shunned by the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure) for the beast he holds, Naruto sets one impossible goal: to become Hokage, the village's strongest ninja and its most respected leader. Assigned to Team 7 alongside his rival Sasuke Uchiha, the medic-in-training Sakura Haruno, and their masked sensei Kakashi Hatake, Naruto learns that raw talent means nothing without the bonds that come with it.

The story splits into two eras. Part I builds the world through the Chūnin Exams and Sasuke's slow descent into revenge, while Part II — Naruto: Shippuden — raises the stakes to the criminal organization Akatsuki, Pain's devastating assault on the Leaf, and the Fourth Great Ninja War against Madara Uchiha and the goddess Kaguya. Across 720 episodes, Naruto returns again and again to its core themes: perseverance in the face of rejection, the weight of inherited hatred, and the belief that even the most broken people can change. It remains one of the 'Big Three' anime that defined a generation of fans.

What the Naruto Quiz Tests

Our Naruto quiz tests everything from surface lore to deep canon. Expect questions on signature jutsu (Rasengan, Shadow Clone Jutsu, Chidori, Amaterasu), the tailed beasts and their jinchūriki, the lineage of Hokage, Akatsuki membership, and the Sharingan's evolutions. Easy levels ask about main characters and basic plot; by the harder levels you'll be attributing quotes, recalling clan histories, and remembering who taught which technique to whom.

Key Characters

The heart of Naruto is its cast: Naruto himself, whose stubborn optimism reshapes everyone around him; Sasuke Uchiha, whose quest to avenge his clan drives the series' central rivalry; and Sakura, Kakashi, and mentors like Jiraiya and Itachi Uchiha, whose sacrifices reframe the whole story. Villains such as Pain, Obito, and Madara aren't simply evil — each embodies a different broken answer to the same question about how to end war. Take the 'Which Naruto Character Are You?' personality quiz to find your match.

Naruto Fun Facts

  • Kurama, the Nine-Tails, went unnamed in the anime for over 15 years — the fox's name wasn't revealed until deep into Shippuden.
  • Naruto's catchphrase 'Dattebayo' was localized as 'Believe it!' in early English dubs to roughly match his mouth movements.
  • Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto's favorite shop, is based on a real ramen stand Kishimoto ate at during his university years.
  • Kakashi's hidden face was one of the longest-running gags in anime — fans waited almost the entire series to see beneath his mask.
  • The Rasengan was designed as an 'incomplete' technique the Fourth Hokage never finished, which is why adding nature energy to it is such a milestone.

Naruto Quiz — Frequently Asked Questions

How many episodes of Naruto are there?

The original Naruto has 220 episodes and Naruto: Shippuden has 500, for 720 total. The sequel series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations continues the story with the next generation. If you skip filler, the core canon is closer to 450 episodes.

Does Naruto have a lot of filler?

Yes — roughly 40% of the combined series is filler, especially in the back half of the original Naruto and stretches of Shippuden. Popular filler-skip guides trim the 720 episodes down to around 450 canon episodes that follow the manga.

What's the correct Naruto watch order?

Watch Naruto (episodes 1–220) first, then Naruto: Shippuden (1–500), then the Boruto film and series. The two Naruto eras are chronological, so there's no need to jump around — just be aware of the filler arcs if you want the tightest experience.

Who does Naruto end up marrying?

Naruto marries Hinata Hyūga, and they have two children, Boruto and Himawari. Sasuke marries Sakura, and their daughter Sarada becomes a central character in the Boruto series. These pairings are revealed at the very end of Shippuden.

Who is the strongest character in Naruto?

By the end of the series, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki — the progenitor of chakra — is the strongest canon character. Among the main cast, adult Naruto (with Kurama's power and Six Paths Sage Mode) and Sasuke (with the Rinnegan) stand at the top. Our hardest quiz questions dig into exactly these power-scaling debates.
