About Mob Psycho 100
Mob Psycho 100 (Mobu Saiko Hyaku) began as a web manga written and drawn by ONE, the creator of One-Punch Man. It ran on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday website from April 2012 to December 2017, and on the MangaONE app from December 2014, and was collected in 16 volumes; Dark Horse Comics publishes it in English. It won the shōnen category of the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award in 2017 and had passed 2.8 million copies in circulation by December 2022. Bones adapted it for television under director Yuzuru Tachikawa, with scripts by Hiroshi Seko, character designs by Yoshimichi Kameda and music by Kenji Kawai. Season 1 aired from July to September 2016, Mob Psycho 100 II from January to April 2019 and Mob Psycho 100 III, the final season, from October to December 2022, directed by Takahiro Hasui with Tachikawa as chief director: 37 episodes in all, plus a Reigen-centred compilation special in 2018 and an OVA in 2019.
Shigeo Kageyama looks like nobody in particular, which is why everyone calls him Mob, Japanese slang for a background character. He is in fact a more powerful psychic than anyone around him, and because his power is tied to his feelings, he keeps them tightly suppressed. A counter on screen shows them building up; when it reaches 100%, his strongest emotion takes over and his full power breaks loose. What Mob actually wants is an ordinary life. He joins Salt Middle School's Body Improvement Club to build himself up, quietly pines for his childhood friend Tsubomi and works for 300 yen an hour as the assistant of Arataka Reigen, a self-proclaimed psychic with no powers at all who calls Mob in whenever a real spirit turns up. Along the way he picks up a hanger-on in the evil spirit Dimple and a rival in Teru Hanazawa, and he faces Claw, an organisation of espers bent on ruling the world, and the powerful evil spirit Keiji Mogami.
The anime has been praised for its animation, its music and its coming-of-age story about a boy learning to accept himself. Anime News Network counted the first season among the best series of 2016, and its reviewer gave the second an A+; Polygon, Crunchyroll and IGN all named Mob Psycho 100 among the best anime of the 2010s. Season 1 and season 2 each won two Crunchyroll Anime Awards, and on Tumblr's 2019 Year in Review it was the second-biggest anime and manga show on the site, with Reigen fifth among characters.

What the Mob Psycho 100 Quiz Tests
Our Mob Psycho 100 quiz covers the 37 episodes of the Bones TV anime, seasons 1 to 3. It uses nothing that appears only in ONE's manga, and nothing from the OVAs, the live-action series or the Reigen spin-off. Easy levels cover the basics: who made it, Mob and his nickname, Reigen and his agency, Dimple, Ritsu and Teru, Salt Middle School's clubs, Claw and the emotion meter that gives the show its title. The middle levels follow the story in order, from the cult (LOL) and Teru's challenge through Ritsu's awakening and the raid on Claw's 7th Division, Emi, Reigen's rise and fall as an online celebrity, the school marathon and Claw's bid to take over the world. The hard levels hold Mob's 100% moments and the late-season twists: the Mogami arc, the truth about the Psycho Helmet in season 3, the fate of the Divine Tree, the Telepathy Club's New Year's Eve trip and the final episode.
Key Characters
Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama is a hero who would rather not fight: awkward, honest and slow to show any feeling, he refuses to use his powers on people and measures himself by things he cannot do with them, like running a marathon or talking to the girl he likes. His boss Arataka Reigen is his opposite, a fast-talking con man with no powers who bluffs his way through every job, yet he is also the person who taught Mob that his power does not make him special, and he cares about the boy far more than he lets on. Dimple, the evil spirit Mob once defeated, hangs around claiming he wants Mob's body and keeps ending up on his side. Mob's younger brother Ritsu, the model student who secretly envied Mob's gift, gets powers of his own and a hard lesson with them, while Teru Hanazawa goes from arrogant rival to one of Mob's truest friends. Around them are the Body Improvement Club led by the gentle giant Musashi Goda, Tome Kurata's alien-hunting Telepathy Club, Mob's childhood friend Tsubomi and, from season 2, Katsuya Serizawa, the former Claw esper who comes to work at Reigen's agency. Mob Psycho 100 Fun Facts
- Mob's nickname suits him twice over. It is Japanese slang for a background character, and the characters of his given name, Shigeo (茂夫), can also be read 'Mobu'.
- ONE designed Mob as the opposite of Saitama, the unbeatable hero of his earlier One-Punch Man: a weak, unsure boy who gets through his fights with help from the people around him and wins them over through kindness.
- Every opening theme is sung by MOB CHOIR and named with a number: '99' for season 1, '99.9' (with Sajou no Hana) for season 2 and '1' for season 3.
- At Crunchyroll's first Anime Awards, season 1 won Best Action and Best Fight Scene, for Mob's battle with Koyama of Claw. Season 2 won Best Animation and Best Opening Sequence, for '99.9', at the fourth.

There are also two extras: Mob Psycho 100 Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic (March 2018), a 60-minute compilation of season 1 with new scenes about Reigen, and the OVA The Spirits and Such Consultation Office's First Company Outing (September 2019).
Is Mob Psycho 100 finished?
Yes. Mob Psycho 100 III was made as the third and final season, and its last episode, which aired on 22 December 2022, closes the story. The manga ended in December 2017 after 16 volumes. A short new film marked the anime's tenth anniversary in July 2026, but the official site's news, checked in November 2026, announces no further season.
What order should I watch Mob Psycho 100 in?
Season 1, then Mob Psycho 100 II, then Mob Psycho 100 III. The two extras are optional: the Reigen special, a recap of season 1 with new Reigen scenes, came out between seasons 1 and 2, and the company-trip OVA, in which Serizawa already works at Reigen's agency, came out between seasons 2 and 3. The 12-episode live-action drama from 2018 is a separate adaptation with its own cast, and Reigen, the spin-off about Mob's boss, is a one-volume manga.
Where can I watch Mob Psycho 100?
Crunchyroll simulcast all three seasons and also streamed the Reigen special and the OVA, and Funimation streamed season 1's English simuldub. Adult Swim's Toonami block aired season 1's dub in the United States from October 2018 to February 2019. Madman Entertainment released the series in Australia and New Zealand, Manga Entertainment in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and Muse Communication holds it in Southeast Asia. What is Mob Psycho 100 about?
It follows Shigeo 'Mob' Kageyama, an ordinary-looking middle schooler with immense psychic power who keeps his emotions bottled up so that his power never runs out of control. He works for Arataka Reigen, a con-man psychic with no powers, while trying to have a normal school life, and he keeps being pulled into trouble with evil spirits, rival espers and the would-be world conquerors of Claw. Under the action and comedy, it is a coming-of-age story about a boy learning to understand his feelings and to accept himself.
Is Mob Psycho 100 by the same creator as One-Punch Man?
Yes. Both were created by the manga artist ONE. One-Punch Man began as his webcomic in 2009, and Mob Psycho 100 started on Shogakukan's Ura Sunday site in April 2012. ONE created Mob as a contrast to One-Punch Man's Saitama: where Saitama is unbeatable, Mob is weak and unsure of himself and relies on the people around him.
